Paediatrics ST3 Specialty Training Application Form
These are the specialty specific questions used on Oriel for applications to Paediatrics ST3.
The questions are presented here to help you prepare for your future applications. Please be aware application form structures, questions, word counts, etc. can change and there is no guarantee that future application forms will remain the same.
Please clearly list these posts in your employment history
Do you have at least 12 months’ experience of working in Paediatrics; this must include at least 6 months in Neonatology at the point of application and 6 months in General Paediatrics (not including Foundation modules) at point of application? (Yes | No)
To be considered for ST3 you must demonstrate having achieved success in two of the three theory exams (Foundation of Practice (FOP), Theory and Science (TAS), Applied Knowledge in Practice (AKP)) by time of application and within the last 7 years.

Please give up to five examples of clinical capabilities that you have gained, with reflections to demonstrate your readiness to work as an ST3 trainee in paediatrics

Describe a project that demonstrates your involvement in audit/QI and the impact it has made
Describe the audit/QIP and your role (50 words)
Describe how/where you presented the audit/QIP and any change in practice that happened as a result (50 words)
Describe a leadership or managerial role you have held and how this has developed your leadership capabilities in paediatrics.
